Saltwater Systems
Beaufort North Carolina Environmental Research Methods This course explores a variety of sampling methods for measuring and monitoring environmental quality. We expand student's experience beyond the local fresh water systems with a week-long trip over spring break to the coast of North Carolina.

Multi-Disciplinary Projects
Geospatial Technologies Employers require some experience with Geospatial Technologies such as Global Navigation Satellite Systems (aka: GPS), Geographic Information Science, and Aerial and Satellite Imagery Interpretation and Analysis (aka: Remote Sensing). Students in Fish & Wildlife Management, Conservation Biology, Environmental Science, Parks & Recreation, and Engineering majors engage in hands-on activities to explore spatial relationships of phenomena within their discipline.

Pictured Rocks
National Shoreline Geoenvironmental Systems Using an Earth Systems Science approach, student's explore landscape changes of different spatial and temporal scales. Weekly field excursions and a weekend trip expose students to a variety of regional landforms.
